Partnerships That Matter- COVID-19 Vaccination Update.

SilverPoint Senior Living Residents, Families, and Team Members,

All of us at SilverPoint Senior Living are learning new details as it relates to the COVID-19 vaccine that is soon to be available and how our communities and workers will be incorporated into the process.

This letter will serve as an update as to what we know to date and our next steps as it relates to getting these vaccines into our communities.

As of Dec 7th, 2020, SilverPoint Senior Living has enrolled in the Pharmacy Partnership for LTC Program to ensure that we on long-term care provider priority list to receive the vaccine. The State will select a vaccine that will be used in the long-term care facilities.

SilverPoint Senior Living has partnered with CVS Health/Omnicare to assist in administering the vaccine to our residents and team members.

Once the vaccine is approved by the FDA, CVSHealth/Omnicare will be on-site at each of our communities and will administer the vaccines to any residents or team members choosing to get the vaccine.

Here are some important notes on the administration of the vaccines:

  • The vaccine will be voluntary for all residents and team members.

  • The vaccine will be provided free of charge for all residents and SilverPoint Senior Living team members. At this time, no extended families can be accommodated at these clinics.

  • The vaccine requires two doses 21 days apart to be effective.

  • At least 3 clinics will be scheduled at our communities to ensure that all residents and team members have an opportunity to get the vaccine.

  • Clinics are expected to begin soon, but we do not have specific dates yet for these clinics. Once we get scheduled information, we will notify all residents, families, and team members.

Additionally, below is some information and resources by the CDC and CVS Health/Omnicare that will give more information on the vaccine:

  • The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is publishing updates regarding the vaccine including the progress of the approval and plan, and information to help answer any questions you may have about the vaccine.

  • CVS is publishing information about the COVID-19 vaccine safety and effectiveness, and common questions, stay up-to-date at:

As always, we will continue to follow all CDC recommendations and standards set forth by local and state regulatory agencies and keep you apprised of any changes or updates as they occur.

Sincerely-

Debi Akeroyd
