SilverPoint Senior Living Earns Great Place to Work® Certification
Demonstrates Commitment to People-Centered Workforce

New Braunfels, Texas, Feb. 25th, 2021 - SilverPoint Senior Living announced its designation as a 2021 Great Place to Work® Thursday. Great Place to Work is an independent research and consulting firm whose certification process evaluates more than 60 elements of overall job experience across more than 1,000 employee surveys distributed to company team members.

“We want to thank all of our team members for their sincere commitment to SilverPoint’s excellence and for taking a vested interest in the success of the company,” said Shawn Corzine, founder and CEO of SilverPoint Senior Living. “Our people are what drive our company’s success and we could not have accomplished this goal without them.” 

More than 76 percent of SilverPoint Senior Living employees completed the program’s signature Trust Index© Survey that covers a variety of workplace quality experiences, including employee pride in the organization’s community impact, belief that their work makes a difference, and feeling their work has special meaning. Rankings are based on employees’ experiences, no matter who they are or what they do.

Within the survey, employees have an opportunity to give personal feedback regarding what they feel the company can do to improve even further. At SilverPoint, 90 percent of the employees who responded provided positive feedback. Participation in the project was led by Debi Akeroyd, Vice President of People and Operations.

“When I first joined SilverPoint, I made a personal commitment to intentional development with a focus on the importance of people in all aspects of our business,” Akeroyd said. “The information from this survey will outline for us the items our team members feel are our strengths and the areas they feel we should focus on as opportunities for improvement.” 

SilverPoint has not yet received 100 percent of the data. Once they receive all the information on the responses team members provided Silverpoint will create an action plan. “It’s important we continue to talk openly about the results so we can put together focus groups and target initiatives as well as encourage continued honest feedback and ideas for improvement,” she said. 

Based on the survey and responses received, SilverPoint Senior Living is officially designated as a Great Place to Work® for 2021. “We are so honored and grateful to receive this special certification.” Corzine said. “Only 12 other senior care companies in Texas meet this criteria, and we outperformed most of them - including two of the largest. We are so proud of our team for this incredible accomplishment.”
