In Our Communities, We Wear Masks to Protect Others.
To keep you informed on the health and safety of your loved ones, we want to reassure you that masks will be continue to be required in all of our communities to keep our residents safe.
This message is in response to Governor Greg Abbott’s recent executive order, announced March 2, 2021 and will go into effect March 10, 2021.
Our regulatory agency, HHSC, governs long term care COVID-19 responses. In compliance with HHSC, our protective and preventative measures will remain the same within all of our communities. We will continue to require mask usage in our communities at all times (and further PPE usage as necessary in response to an outbreak).
Per the order pages 2 & 3 Section 5:
Nursing homes, state supported living centers, assisted living facilities, and long-term care facilities should follow guidance from the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) regarding visitations, and should follow infection control policies and practices set forth by HHSC, including minimizing the movement of staff between facilities whenever possible.
Again, please rest assured that we will continue to require mask usage in our communities at all times to keep your loved ones healthy and safe.
We will continue to encourage our team members and families to continue to practice good hand hygiene, wear a facemask and continue to social distance per CDC guidelines in order to protect our residents and our community as a whole.
