Family is Everything

“Family is not an important thing. It’s everything.” –Michael J. Fox

To the Families and Friends of our wonderful residents,

We want to thank you and let you know our hearts are with you. As we continue to monitor and adjust, we wanted to give you an update that is about the “Heart” of our communities; it’s people and how they are living out an engaged life- amidst the adversities of COVID-19. We are so proud of our Teams and Residents. They are taking compliance seriously and finding little opportunities to make moments matter. As mentioned previously, one of our core values is Fun- this past week we have had hallway parades with team members to fill each space with joy. We also have had one-on-one carnivals, gardening sessions, and even a community “Pep Rally.”

In addition to Fun, we have several other Core Values that we are living out each day.  Family is one of those central values. I believe that our SilverPoint family is and extension of your family

It is our desire to not only love and support your loved one, but to ensure that you have ways to connect, as a family, even in the midst of the current quarantine.

Here are some other ways you can engage as a family--

  1. Our Seniors love video messaging and FaceTime! We have had huge success with residents utilizing technology, with the help of team members, to connect with their family and friends. We can even assist with a Zoom meeting that includes several members of your family that might be spread across the country. We are working on this service, and as a new technology to most, patience in the process is appreciated.  It will be a “Brady Bunch” style format where everyone can see each other and connect as a family!

  2. Send your loved one a video! You are welcome to send a personal video via Facebook Messenger to your community, we will be sure to show your loved one.

Simply like your community specific page -> click message- >and send your pre-recorded video. (You May have to download the Facebook Messenger App)

  3. We want to check in on you and know how you are doing, talk to us, reach out to your ED ( see contact list below), send us some photos we would love to share ways your having fun in the “Q” life.

  4. We consider our team members family as well.  If you feel inclined, let them know you care with a letter or even call your local ED to share your message of love and encouragement.

We Support You and Your Journey

Finally, since family supports family, we wanted to provide information and support, because we know little moments can make a big difference. With the help of our community, we have received videos inspired by calm moments, and we hope to see your submissions too!
